Born on December 1, 1956 in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Education: higher (Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute (now Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University), 1978; specialty – Secondary School Teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature.

Title of the Candidate thesis: «Formation of aesthetic opinions of high school students by means of art in extracurricular educational work» (1988).

She is the author of more than 130 publications on the problems of national education of student youth, history of preschool pedagogy, theory and practice of teaching and education, ethnopedagogy, training of future teachers in higher education, other fields of knowledge.           Organizational and educational work:

  1. Salyha acts as the Chairman of the Department’s trade union committee, a member of the professional examination commission for admission of entrants to the Master degree studies majoring in 011 Educational, Pedagogical Sciences.
  2. Salyha is responsible for career guidance activities with college and Bachelor degree graduates.

From 2004 to 2007, she worked as a Deputy Director on Educational Work of the Pedagogical Institute of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
