Zavgorodnia Tetiana Kostyantynivna

She was born in Stanislav (now Ivano-Frankivsk) on January 18, 1949. She graduated with a medal from Ivano-Frankivsk High School № 3 and with honors from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute (1970). She worked as a mathematics teacher, deputy director for educational work of her native school. For a long time she held elected office.

Since 1981 he has been a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy of Prykarpattia University. She graduated from the Research Institute of Pedagogy of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and defended her PhD thesis on the theory of education, and in 2000 – her doctoral dissertation “Development of the theory and practice of teaching in Galicia (1919-1939).”

Since 1984 he has been working at the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute (now the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University).

2002 – Professor of General and Social Pedagogy, 2003 – Head of the Department of History of Pedagogy, 2006-2020 – Head of the Department of Pedagogy named after Bohdan Stuparyk (Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk).

Awards:

diplomas of the Precarpathian University (8 pcs.), diplomas of the city department of education (5 pcs.), diplomas of the regional department of education (4 pcs.), Laureate of the regional pedagogical prize named after Myroslav Stelmakhovych (2005), the award of the head of the regional state administration and the head of the regional council “Famous Scientist of the Year” (2009), the award of the National Union of Local Historians of Ukraine named after Academician Petro Tronko (2017), diploma and medal of Precarpathian National University 2019).

Research interests

Development of schooling in Galicia. Theory and practice of youth education in the Free Economic Zone of Ukraine and abroad. History and modern problems of education and training of future specialists for educational institutions of different levels.
